I have a Netgear GA311 Gigabit network card in my naslite+ usb server and a smc 18 ports giga switch.

The problem i have is this. When i start Naslite it make the 2x300hz beep and 1x700hz beep which is the servers way to say im okay. It finds my network card but i get the msg: R8169: Eth0: Reset Rtl8169s PHY
and i cant connect to the server. seems like the card is not enable

The msg just keeps on coming.

some advise?

Check the cable to the switch. This message is displayed when it cant detect the network.
Likely its a faulty TP.-cable.

Yes, it was my cabel, made a new one and now it works :)

Had that same exact problem with a cat 6 cable I bought on eBay. Guy was nice though and refunded my money without me sending the cable back. Only paid a couple of bucks for it. I then went to Home Depot (yes, Home Depot) and bought a cat 5e cable there that is working just fine. Cost a little more but it was local and I could take it back if it didn't work :)
