Hello,
I have been using the cdrom version of Naslite for a month with success now but wanted to free a ide slot so i decided to try to boot from a USB stick.
When i boot from USB i have the above mentioned "Kernel Panic : Attempted to kill init!" error message and the boot freezes.

My MB is a Asus P4S800-MX SE with 1 * 256 Mb DIMM
Chipset SIS661FX
SIS964
Rev 0501

The USB stick is a 128 Mb Creative thumm.

I tried with both USB methods , floppy based or partition same message.

Please help.

Tested this board today at a friends place. After a few frustrating tries
it turned out that its USB2 that is the problem.
Disable the Onboard SiS usb 2.0 Device under Advanced menu/usb configuration.

The loading of NASlite USB is fast enugh on usb1.1 that you will
not notice any big differance compared to usb 2 boot.
