I have NASLite+ running under VMware 5 desktop on a XPpro machine, seems to work fine (I have not worked out the benefit of running it in this way but it was a test for the hell of it!) The performance is real good and possible 70% transfer sped of that in native mode.

The only issue I have is that the box bleeps 3hi and 3lo bleeps ever 5 mins or so? anyone know what that is ?

Hi,

Take a look at the naslite+ manual there is a section there about bleeps.

Thanks for that, It is that the disk fails the SMART tests, This will be becuase VWware is stopping it talking directly with the actual disks - do u know If SMART can be disabled
