NASLite Network Attached Storage

Hello

I've been running NASlite+ for a few weeks now without problems. (great product by the way)

I shut down the server (correctly) as I was away for a few days, on trying to start it up again I get the following.


Loading NASLite 01
Loading NASLite 02
Ready.

Uncompressing NASlite Kernel...
OK, booting the kernel.
Uncompressing NASlite Kernel...

Out of Memory
System Halted.

Before it gets to this it tries to boot and even comes up with the initial NASLite screen.

Nothing has changed on the PC, everything was working fine before.

I have checked the BIOS to ensure its booting OK from the CD rom and that the other IDE devices are set to "not installed"

The PC spec is P600Mhz, 512MB RAM and like I say, it was all working fine before the shutdown.

I'm pretty certain it is a PC hardware problem but any info / help / tips would be gratefully received.

Of course, my next question is... if I swap the disks into another PC that I load the NASLite software onto, will it "see" those disks or do I have to reformat?

I can't help you with the memory error, but you can install the drives in to another pc and you DO NOT need to reformat the drives.
