1/ Pentium 200 based machine.. all boots up fine.. naslite+ finds disks.. using a scsi CD-Rom... however, when I try and copy files to one of the disks, small files copy fine, but large files (3gig) will not copy.. (I'm not trying to copy larger than 4gig)...

2/ Pentium 3 based machine.. much as above..haven't tried network yet.
During setup, the option to configure storage disks is greyed out..

Any ideas for either or both above..??

The behavior of your p200 that you are describing is extremely bizarre. There is no software reason for that to occur. At least not one that I’m aware of

Anyway, can you post the content of the /Info/SYS_Log.htm file so I can take a look at your hardware. Mainly, RAM, IDE, etc.

Also, do you get any errors on the NASLite screen or logs? It'd say that it's most likely bad or not enough RAM.

As for the p-III, my guess is bad or incorrectly installed floppy drive, cable or controller. Take a look at this post:

Hi, thanks for the reply...

Since my post I've plugged an old 4 port netgear hub into my second ethernet port from my desktop to the naslite machine (bypassing the newer netgear router/hub.. I am now getting a more respectable time of 3 hours for an 80gig backup..I've no idea why the netgear router was slowing things down...

I am going to carry on plugging away at the other machine.

Well.... booting for the first setup with no floppy in the drive disabled all my hard drives and greyed out the option for drive configuration...

Booting with no floppy connected enabled all drives but wouldn't allow me to log in...

so

I used the saved config floppy from my other server whilst booting. Everything fine.. I could log in, configure my drives and save the config to a different (blank floppy).. all works fine now...

Very odd

On my pentium 200 I had a netgear 310 network card installed... after reading another thread on this forum I ordered a D-Link DFE 530TX from Ebay. I've swopped the cards today... now getting decent speeds with it plugged through my netgear router / hub + when shutting down the machine using telnet it also powers off.....
