Okay I have been running naslite+ for a few months, it works great. I have always used it from windows clients but all went smoothly. Now I have finally running a full linux distro as my main computer.

I am having difficulties mounting the server volumes and just need a little help.

I a currently running ubuntu -distro debian based.

I editited the /etc/fstab file. I tried to mount the smb volumes with no luck then I started trying to do nfs volume. I have gotten farther with that but I get an error message as follows:

mount: 192.168.0.9:/disk-3 failed, reason given by server: Permission denied

Also I can telnet to the server fine, I think I just have some syntax wrong of something is little off with the nfs
so I am trying to access disk-3 on server with ip address of 192.168.0.9

fstab line I put in look like this:

192.168.0.9:/disk-3 /home/animatt/Desktop/Anime nfs

So when I type in command line

sudo mount /home/animatt/Desktop/Anime

but all I get is the error message from above. Any ideas TONY?

Also I forgot to mention but /home/animatt/Desktop/Anime is there. I did create the location, so that is not the reason for failure.

Also I have been able to make a link on the desktop with syntax "smb://192.168.0.9/Disk-3" so the samba feature appears to be working I can access my files, but would be much nicer if I can get the damn thing to mount so it is browseable

okay I found out what was wrong. When I was trying to mount the smb files system i did not have smbfs installed. I figured it was installed automatically, but when I was going through option adding and removing programs to trim anything I did not need I saw it was not installed. I installed it really quick and the simple smb command works.

But I am still unsure why the nfs commands do not work, but, I guess I do not need them to.
