NASLite Network Attached Storage

1. i gone as far as building the nas, even configuring the box to be "seen" in my network places folder as \\******\shareddocs which ill assume would mean my laptop is interacting with the nas box but i cant seem to access the drive to store stuff on it.

2. i tried telnetting into the box from my laptop using the default ip address(192.168.1.1) to no avail

3. i connected the nas box to the laptop via crossover cablewith less success than when i used a patch cable to connect the box to my 4 port adsl wireless router.
the latter methodb actually worked except the problem in .1
