 Post subject: Making a Bootable USB

sorry to be a pain. i have been given some software the other day from our systems admin. we have built a NAS box and we need to put this software on. we have no knoledge of Linux. could some tell us the steps to make a bootable FLOPPY OR USB we have all the software but i don't know what version or what to do with it.

does someone have a step by step guide for the above. help, help

Go to this page http://www.serverelements.com/documentation.php and look over the documentation for NASLite.

Basically you unzip the file to get an ".img" file. Then burn the image to CD and run from there.

Your sys admin should be able to tell you what version of the software you have. You don't really need any knowledge of Linux to build a NASLite box.
