I have a 160Gb disk in a Naslite box but it only sees 127Gb. Looking thru the forum I see I need to get another IDE controller AND V2 but looking
through the web site I see no mention of V2 at all?

I'll check on the BIOS but surely that isn't going to get over the LBA48 problem is it?
I see V2 is USB only and this old board won't boot USB !

There is only a USB version at present. can you not use the kicker supplied to boot the usb?

lencuff,

The kicker is a floppy disk that has a dos usb driver which if booted first may detect your Flash usb device with the nas v2 OS on it.

I have a few USB kickers with different drivers on, you are welcome to try these. all you do is plug in your usb device boot from floppy and see if it sees the usb device if it does then it should boot the NAS os.

if you want the disks pm me with your email and i'll mail them over.

It will as NL uses some overlay software that works around that problem. I was running NL1.0 on an old P200MMX with old 33MHz ATA interfaces and it saw my 300GB and 200GB drives with no problem at all. Set any hard drives to none in the BIOS and you should see the whole amount of the drive there to be formated.

Mik

I'll give that a try in a minute as I'm backing up to another drive on the box at the mo.
Assume I'll need to format it again if it doesn't report the LBA48 problem?
