I've got two old computers (one Pentium MMX and one Pentium II), one of which I intend to use with NASLite. As the onboard IDE-controllers are old (about 10 years I guess) I feel it would be a good idea to get a PCI IDE-controller to avoid issues with LBA48 (i.e. harddrives bigger than 127GB). I seem to be unable to find a list of supported IDE-controllers (if any). Silicon Image based controllers seems common, would they work?

The reason you can't find a list is because NASLite v1.x does not support PCI IDE controllers at all, NASLite-2 does.

MaRo,

If you want to use IDE controllers then I'd go for V2, The promise ide controllers work well and these are quite cheap on ebay etc.

Remember if you do use naslite+ turn the HD detection to none in the bios.
