Hi Folks,

to use NASLite+ in my environment I do need any kind of mirroring RAID support. This could be either software base, but I would love to be it hardware based on anykind of hardware raid. For me hardware RAID is much easier to handle and to replace failed disks as the Bios of the Controller supports this.

I'm not sure if NASLite+ will support e.g. a Promise TX1000 Raid Controller.

Is the NASLite (without +) the same core versions as the Plus-Version except that it only support one access protocol?

Bye, Carsten

Some folks have reported RAID compatibility with hardware only mirroring RAID. If someone is using such hardware, can you please post some details.

Hey Tony,

can you please answer me my original question:

Is the free NASLite (without +) the same core version than the Plus-Version. Can I use this version to check hardware compatibitlity?

Thanks, carsten

Very much so, however NASLite+ has full IDE driver support, so you can get much higher transfer speeds on Mbit NICs compared to the floppy based Mbit versions. In addition, the + allows multiprotocol exports.
