 Post subject: ext2 vs. ext3

Can somebody explain the difference between these two filessystems? I gather that ext3 supports journaling but what is journaling and why is it a good thing? :oops:

Just what I was looking for, thanks. The main advantage seems to be an increased probability of recovering after a power outage.
