Hi Guys

I have been using Naslite USB 1.5 for over 6 months now and have eagerly been awaiting the release of version 2.0 with its raid support. I currently have a PII 333mhz with 3 x PATA 320gb hard drives & 128Mb ram. I have just upgraded to box to V 2.0

I am looking to upgrade the NAS box with SATA raid and have been considering replacing the motherboard for a m/b with integrated RAID 5. I have been looking at the Gigabyte boards featuring the Nvidia, specifically the GA-K8N51GMF because I can pack this together with an AMD processor and some ram to get a very economically priced solution.

Does anybody know if this will work with Naslite USB 2.0?
If not, does anybody have any other suggestions as to motherboards I can use with integrated raid support for RAID 5 that are on the cheap side. Most of the controllers I have looked at have been rather expensive in the 3-400$ range.

Regards

Look on Ebay for the RAID controler, the 3ware controlers are going cheap there. The box you have will work just fine still, just add more RAM.
