Greetings Wilbur. I noticed that you were part of the Beta Test Team, and your previous posts indicated you were interested in video streaming (me too) - so - now that you have tested/used NasLite2, what changes, additions, did you decide to make to your setup to take advantage of the new features in "N2"? What results have you seen? How's video streaming these days? Thanks ...

Hi Grumpa,

My Vers 2.0 system didn't change at all really, I ran a test rig first to make sure I was familiar with it all, then swapped it over to my main rig which I had gotten up to a degree where I could stream high def material from without any juddering or stutters operating vers 1.*

I have moved my main server to a Windows 2003 domain based system, although I'm not convinced yet that it is the way I want to go :? but I plan to put my NASlite server on my network as a back up device.

NASlite is a wonderful system but as my needs grew I wanted certain features that NASlite just couldn't offer. I'm in the process now of rebuilding the NAS box to function as a back up device for my network and explaining to Mrs Wilbur why I need another PC in the garage
I'll keep looking in on the best forum in the world though.
Good luck with your system and if I can help at all please let me know, I am in the process now of ripping most of my dvd collection to the server for streaming directly as it worked so well.
