I just bought NASLite+ 1.5 Server Suite a couple of months ago.

Will there be an opportunity to upgrade to NASLite-2 at some price lower than the full $29.95?

Will there be a Suite edition that combines the CDD, HDD, and USB versions of NASLite-2?

Check the upgrades page for discounts.

Thanks, Ralph -- I obviously should have looked there before posting.

Will there be a Suite offering for NASLite-2, once you get the CDD and HDD versions out?

Possibly, it hasn't been discussed at this point.

Ralph,
I tried using my recent link from ServerSuite to purchase the NasLite 2 and it said:
ERROR: The provided link is not valid for NASLite-2 USB CD-ROM. Please check the qualifying product information and resubmit.

I bought the server suite on May 22nd, and still have 5 downloads left.

Does this purchase qualify me for discount?

THanks,
Vadim

Hi Vadim,

Pull the menu down to server suite and paste your download link.

Hello,

after a lot of problems with bugs and poor features of the Naslite USB, I changed to http://www.freenas.org/. It´s works much better and more stable and has some more features. I´m very satisfied with that.

FreeNAS is under GPL-License and for free!

Best regards
Robert

Robert, why would you need to come in and THREAD_CRAP in an actually useful thread. Come to think of it, most threads here are usefull, start your own thread with a message like such and do not "contaminate" a thread with decent info.

Tony, Ralph, can you move messages like these into an "unhappy forum", and still keep a link to it here. Those who want to read and partake in this could go there?

I agree with you, but I think that the post should stay. If only to illustrate the underhanded approach some folks seem to favor. Ralph and I have been very careful not to police or sensor this forum. Since it’s launch in 2004, I think there is only a single offensive post that Ralph removed. We realize that some people will sometime abuse the privilege, however, we also believe that the community that supports this forum is strong and well informed. Most will surely see right through such nonsense.

That said, I’m very interested in hearing about the “lot of problems with bugs and poor features of the Naslite USB” that prompted Robert to use FreeNAS.

edit:(In a new thread obviously  )

I have to agree with Vadim_s. If you don't like what you decided to by, it is not the products fault, but yours.

Some investigation beforehand would have indicated to you that Naslite was not for you. That is why the manual is available for download.

I have used it for a long time now, and it is exactly what I wanted. By paying for the product I indicated that it has the functions/features that I was looking for. I wanted something simple and easy to setup. Naslite was perfect, cheap and it works!! There will be some issues to sort out with the new release, but that is normal. I am also willing to work around some restrictions/problems with the release, because I know that those will be looked at in future releases/updates.

Great product!! Thanks Tony and Ralph
