When I connect to my server from a Mac using 10.8.5 I get this warning message:
Something is wrong with the volume's CNID DB using temporary CNID DB instead. Check server messages for details!

I am not sure where to look for the server messages. The latest entries in the system logs from the web interface are from Nov. 23.

Will a reboot and a check disk solve this?

I have a second drive in the server backing up the main drive every night. I can wait until it runs and then do a reboot.

Thanks,
Rick

I've done some research and all of the things I can find talk about Time Machine being a problem but I am not using the NAS for Time Machine backups.

So is this something I need to worry about?

I did check the disk logs and it shows the drive to be "not clean"
Filesystem revision #: 1 (dynamic)
Filesystem features: filetype sparse_super large_file
Default mount options: (none)
Filesystem state: not clean
Errors behavior: Continue

As a testament to NASLite's reliability, this server as not been rebooted since Nov. 23, 2013.

Thanks,
Rick
