Hi all. :)

Is there anything significant between the 32-bit and 64-bit versions?
I have compared the features for both, and both appear to be the same.

Is it simply a case of the 32-bit version not supporting drives bigger then 2TB?

That is a Windows limitation - Linux/Unix might not have that problem, but I suspect that with ANY 32-bit OS, 2TB is the maximum drive size you can have - anything bigger will be ignored or not all of it can be used.

So, if you are planning to use large capacity drives, then 64-bit would be the one to go for, would it not?

Good question. Wondering what is the RAM limitation and max file size too.

The 32bit versions support single core and a max 4G of RAM only.
The 64bit versions support multiple cores and a max 16G of RAM.

Other than the above, the only difference is the architecture. 64bit versions of the OS will not run on 32bit CPUs while the 32bit OS will do just fine on a 64bit CPU.

Performance-wise, although the 64bit version is theoretically faster, the bottleneck is seldom CPU-related. I find the 32bit NASLIte-2 plenty fast for me ;-).

Hope that helps.
