Hmmm, absolute newb here...
Installed NASLite-2 on a Dell Dimension with 160gb IDE drive. I am the administrator of this machine, and am logged in as such. I am using a 64mb flash drive to boot the configuration. I have renamed the workgroup to the workgroup that all of the pc's are attached to.
Trying (without success) to copy a file, ANY file to the only TWO (isn't my main disk, Disk0 supposed to be listed there as well?) folders (both networked and marked "share") I have showing on the network under the NASLite-2 Server labeled "Shares" and "Status". I assumed (obviously incorrectly) that I should be able to copy a file to the "Shares" folder. Instead I get a message "you need permission to perfrom this action". When I attempt to go into the properties of "Share" and edit any user, "Everyone", or "admin" or try to add another user, I get another error message that I am denied access. In a nutshell, what am I missing? Have I misconfigured the NASLite settings? Where is my reference to my main IDE disk, Disk0? Is there a part of the "Installation and Adminsitration Guide" that I haven't read, or applied incorrectly?
If I can't access the folders, how is anyone else on the workgroup supposed to?
