Hi

I receive update CDs for some of my software. I have to insert the CD in each computer to make the upgrades :(

It would be nice to be able to mount the CD/DVD reader in NL and share it as read only. Thus, I can put the CD in NL and can make the updates directly via Lan for each computer.

Just an idea. I don't know if it might be useful for many people...

I use Magic ISO for that and it seems to work just fine.

Hi Mike,

Yes I know these solutions but I would need to create the ISO, copy it to the NL and then mount the ISO with a program on each computer and then install... It will be faster by putting the CD in each drive ;) and share one of the Windows drives for the computer with the dying CD drive.

Regards

Hello Rob,

Well, once the software is loaded it is simple and fast to mount the image on each machine. Allot of the time I just go ahead and rip the ISO as a matter of course so I don't have to locate and load the disk and then wait for it to spin up and read.
