Hi folks,
Long time user. I set everything up years ago booting from CD with the floppy config disk. This has worked fine for quite a while, but I'd like to take the CD-rom and floppy drives out (plus I think the floppy drive might be going bad) and boot from USB. I read through the instructions to set up the USB boot, but it looks like they assume you are setting up from scratch and will format the drives. I should note that I recently upgraded to 2.65 from 2.06 due to the recent MS patch that caused the server to go AWOL on the network (using NASlite-2 32-bit).
Is it possible to do this without formatting the drives and keeping everything in tact? I didn't want to experiment and lose what was on one of the drives (they're just backups of the PCs in my home, so I could just start backing up over again if I lost them, but it would be nice to keep them since I know the minute they're gone disaster will strike!).
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary
