ok i have had my NL running for about 2 years now with no new changes but the other day i set some files to transfer to it while i was at work when i got home i found this screen
kernel BUG at skbuff.c:92!
invalid operand: 0000
cpu: 0
EIP: 0010:[<c03053ba>] not tainted
EFLAGS:00010282
there is a huge list of numbers here that i will get when i get a chance the wife restarted if while i was in the bathroom and edit them in
Code: 0f 0b 5c 2b 79 3b c0 83 c4 14 c3 8b 54 24 04 8b 42 18 85
<0>Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
in interrupt handler - not syncing
so i power it down then on again and everything was fine for a few days then i notice that the file i set to transfer did not make it before the kernel BUG so i set them to transfer again and the same thing happened again
so i tried to see what the problem was but i learned that i dont speak lunix at all lol but i did figure out what triggers it it only happens when you transfer large files to it over 2 GB you can transfer smaller files to it just fine
i tried to transfer files to it from my laptop, desktop, ftp,i streamed movies from it to 4 TV's all at the same time trying to get it to and got nothing all was working great till i tried to move larger files to it and i get the kernel BUG
but anyway if someone can tell whats wrong with this before i edit all the numbers in thats great
thanks for reading this and any help would be much appreciated
Right I am by no means a Linux expert but this stinks of a file size limit.
First thing which version of NL are you running (It will certainly help to know that info)
have you thought about upgrading to the latest version which definately will handle large files, I regularly transfer files in the 40Gb size range (BluRay Rips) with v1.62 of M2 (this equates to v2.62 of Naslite-2). (really must get round to upgrading to 1.64 but if it aint broke as they say).
Hope this helps just a little bit and I am sure someone with more experience will chip in and either confirm what I have said or give another answer.
Doug.
