How bad is a tiny scratch to a motherboard? I decided to put a computer together and bought a case, motherboard, cpu, and all that other stuff which is besides the point. After installing my motherboard i realized that the case i received was defective, so i had to remove my motherboard and return the case to get a new one.

Usually no problem, except if you totally cut through a copper line.

That would depend on your definition of the term "Tiny"

In general, motherboards are covered in a solder mask and this protects the traces from minor damage and corrosion. IF the scratch is deep enough you could go through a trace or two and that would be bad. Get a jewelers loop and look at the scratch is all I can say. You should be able to see if a trace is damaged. A good digital camera on Macro will also work for the purpose.

How do we know what motherboard can support what graphic cards? I have heard that not all graphic cards support a specific motherboard. As I know, the DDR have to be the same, but is there any more which have to be the same, too. I need your answer, thank you very much.

Check that the slot requirement of the card (AGP, PCI-E, PCI-E 2.0, etc) is met by the motherboard.

If the board is PCI only, IE really old then just about any PCI video card should work. If it is still old but has AGP then AGP should fit the bill and again, any AGP video card should work. For a MB with PCIe, likely the card will fit a 16x slot even if the card is not 16x. PCIe will drop back to what ever bus speed and width is presented to it so there should be little worry about that as well.

To be honest just about any card that has the proper interface should work since NL will use only basic drivers. Check in the surplus stores or some little computer repair shop or even Good Will or Salvation Army for the cheapest card you can find.
