I have installed a Promise SATA300 TX4302 in order to resync to an external drive. The NAS is in a vulnerable situation, and I want my garage to be able to take a backup home.

The BIOS of the controller card recognizes and identifies the Seagate hard drive which is in a a Freecom Hard Drive Dock. The interface is eSATA. Card and dock seem to like each other.

NASLite booting stops in the section System Drivers:

USB Universal Host Controller [DONE]
Driver usbcore [DONE]
Probing [BUSY]

During booting the USB keyboard becomes dysfunctional.

When I boot with the dock off, everything seems to go normal, and drivers are loaded for the Promise controller, though some parts of the syslog may raise an eyebrow:

Couldn't wait for a solution within the realm of NASLite.

I think I found a better option:

I installed the PCI SATA controller in the XP computer, and connected the dock. I mapped Disk-1 to that computer, en will make incremental backup's with Acronis True Image to the hard drive in the dock.

I couldn't find a Rsync possibility. If there is, tell me how.
