Hi again

As mentioned I upgradec to the latest versioin and it is working mostly. Early post talked about USB issue, but I also have a funtional issue.

System works fine, but if I choose from Telnet to reboot the server it causes the bios to change the boot status, resulting in the system not being able to be start up again without going into the bios and resetting the first boot device. I am booting from a compact flash via a USB adapter.

However if I shut down the computer with the power button no issue.
If I choose to shutdown naslite from Telnet .. no issue.... the only issue is when I choose reboot server.

Any ideas?

thanks

Sounds like a BIOS issue to me. I would reset the BIOS to the default for starters. I would turn off the ACPI and I would also replace the battery as well. These failing me I would look at flashing the BIOS to the latest image available.

how are you rebooting - theres a script somewhere on here that works perfectly for me - not sure if georg wrote it or it was modified by someone else

happy to send you a copy to play with

or you can reboot via the system menu - that also works for me
