NASLite Network Attached Storage

Hi,

I cannot have NL synchronize with a time server unless I set a gateway in settings. And setting the gateway, I find an alert message about the NL server being visible from the Internet.

The NL server is behind a router so I suppose that I'm secure but... Is there a way to have time synch without setting the gateway ?

You need to have a gateway specified if you are requesting outside access, so in order to set the clock you'll have to define one. As far as security, the NAS will not be accessible from the outside unless you are using a public IP for your NAS or are explicitly forwarding a ports to the NAS.

Even though I set the gateway number to the IP of my router and set a valid IP for the time server 192.93.2.20 (I can ping it from NL), NL still cannot synchronize the time with the time server

Any ideas, things to test ?

The problem is solved

The IP that I could ping couldn't be used but the IP that I couldn't ping is working... Go wonder...
