The footer of my /Status/htm/server.htm says:

NASLite-2 USB v2.06 08-2007

Content updated every 5 min.

Last update Fri Sep 19 15:00:53 UTC 2008.

But I have a time server set and "set system date and time" shows the right date and time.

The log page has the right date and time in the footer, but none of the messages are older than September
How should I trouble shoot this?

I tried that. Looking at the html file in the Status/htm folder, it hasn't been modified since 9/19 whereas all the other files have been modified today.

I bet your last reboot was on 9/19.
Looking at my own folder "Z:\Status\htm" there are three files which have not been updated ("unlock.htm", "server.htm", "about.htm"), the other 7 are updated as expected (have the most recent date modified). I am not necessarily the final authority on this ... but my guess is that the "Server" page is not updated since there is no data that changes after reboot; it is written only once (at boot) and static after that.

P.S.: And your "syslog.htm" not having messages since September is a GOOD thing ... no errors :)

That page gets built one time immediately after boot. Since it's content does not change, it is not rebuilt and is considered static. The same holds true for the About and Unlock pages. There is no need to process those every cycle.

Hey Tony ... welcome back ... long time no hear. Unrelated question: any version 2.7 (based on new kernel) progress ??

And thanks for confirming my beliefs for jared.

Edit: sorry, I meant version 2.07.

I've been around  , just haven't participated in any of the discussions.

M2 has exhibited some bad habits during beta testing, and we've been working on those. The new installer however seems to be good to go so 2.07 shouldn't be long.

As we noted earlier, NASLite-M2 and NASLite-2 v2.07 are both based on the the 2.4 kernel, but will include a host of improvements addressing IRQ allocation, shared IRQs, SATA CD/DVD-ROM support, performance and other tweaks. The next release will go away with CDD/USB and HDD. NASLite-2 v2.07 and NASLite-M2 will install on anything. It will also be made available to all existing NASLite-2 customers as a standard upgrade.
