Is there any way that I can force the user to authenticate password details to access a NAS folder/Drive for security before I release NAS on the the web?

No, that is not a part of the design of NL.

You would need to have a web server that did the PW authentication serve up the NL info. There are a number of other ways to be sure and if you look you will see a number of posts about them. I think it ill advised to just make it available on the web unless you wish to host Kiddy (p---) for the pervs.
