Just installed NASLite-2 HDD works great except when I try to copy a folder that is approx. 10GB to NASLite server. The file transfer errors and the server is no longer accessible on the network. I've tried it from another pc and the same issue occurs. I was wondering if NasLite can handle such large data transfers? Or have any other ideas? Thanks in advanced.

NL 2.0 can and does handle large file transfers like that. I have had the same problem in the past and the way in which I finally fixed the problem was to change to an Intel motherboard and a 3Com Gigabit NIC. It has worked just fine after that with not hitch one. I just checked and I have moved in excess of 4.4TB of data to and from my NL box since restarting it after adding another drive to the mix and not one dropped file or fault.

For starters you might begin by simply going into the BIOS and turning off every device that is not needed, also turn off APCI for the time being and see where that gets you.

higgins911,

Over the weekend I moved in excess of 1TB of data, actually 1.7tb come to think of it.
no dropped connections on naslites part.

No problems here either. The first task I threw at NASLIte, which I'm using predominantly for backing up Ghost images of my drives on my main computer was transferring 22GB file which it then mirrored to the second drive at 11pm last night.
