Hi,

I think I might be in big trouble. I had a disk go bad in my array and so I shut everything down, replaced it and rebuilt the array. Now it's doing the checking filesystem thing but it's been going for two days, 48 hours. Is there anyway to skip this? I'm not sure if it's actually doing anything or if it's hung up. I am kind of interested to see if my data is still there.

Thanks,
Jason

I had problems checking a 1.2TB array a while ago, I think I only had 512MB in that machine at that time if I recall correctly. Increasing the RAM allowed the check to be carried out successfully.

yep, large volumes need lots of ram, so that's probably all that's wrong with your nas.

so what should i think about trying to get up to? I think I might be limited to like 760-ish for my old mother board.

Thanks,
Jaosn
