Telnet to NASLite

Option 6: Set system date and time
Set the time MANUALLY to GMT / CUT time

or the automatic option

Option 1: Network configuration
Option 7: Change time server
Set IP number of the time server near to you.

Save (option 9) & reboot (option 7) NASLite

Must be sure that the NASLite is on a network that can access the Internet ;)

Regards

If you don't like the ones in NASLite  , do an internet search with "internet time server IP". As I'm in France, I use a server in France. You can use any server all over the world but one near you may be faster.

Regards.

Does the fact that NASLite can access t'InterWeb to synchronise with a time server mean that product unlocking could also be carried out directly on the NASLite server rather than via the HTTP interface from another machine :?:

In theory yes, but that would require a gateway to be set prior to unlocking. I suspect that although there is absolutely no way an outsider can access the NAS on a non-routable IP, people will probably shy away from that approach. In addition, if someone's LAN uses public IPs, it can be potentially dangerous to assign a gateway since the content will then be publicly visible. So, to eliminate the possibility of such occurrence, we opted for the safe approach. Besides, I think there is something to be said for the psychology of knowing exactly what is in the config and that the NAS has no ability to access our servers.

Other than that it will probably work pretty well.

You may want to try another time server, I changed my naslite box to 208.184.49.9 and it doesn't work for me either.

Now I forgot what my original time server was that was working

Also, verify that your router/firewall is not blocking port 37.
