As I understand it the upgrade from 1 to 2 should be as simple as putting in the new CD, configuring and checking the new disk naming protocol.

If anything goes wrong can I just bang the v1 CD and floppy back in? Is there any change made to the hard disks that would prevent this?

Boot and configure naslite 2, check to see if everything is good and then if you decide to keep 2, apply journal to the drives to make them ext3. Otherwise, there are no changes made to the drives and you can revert back to your old setup with 1.

Cheers, just checked out Journal in the manual and that looks straightforward.
