 Post subject: Strange behaviour!

Never had this problem before.
I am copying some larger files (1 to 5GB) and the transfer stops all the time it goes for some seconds at 25MB/sec then stops a view seconds and this process repeats itself over and over. It is strange I am really sure that this is new to my NASlite box. I rebooted with no difference. Here is my system log for those who understand it :wink:

I have also noticed this behaviour and have attributed it to NASLite's RAM buffers filling (quickly) and then a pause while NASLite flushes those buffers to disk.

Looks like you might have a drive or controller with a problem from the looks of the log. Start by checking the cables and rebooting the machine, then run a disk check.

OK, done that put a new cable on the usb drive, internal cables are 6mnd old. rebooted.
No change...

My ASUS M2N32 WS PRO does it as well - 4GB RAM as in sig (as is the rest of the system).

Sorry, I don't know mother board etc. only know it is Asus and Intel pro1000 ethernet card. It's a headless nas (can't reach it easy). Can I see it on another way?

Still no update on this problem??
It seems to me that not only me is having this problem.
Any support from the makers will be welcome (hardware is tested and fine)
