Saved a Acronis True Image backup on my NASLite-2-HDD and it filled it up to 95% with all the other stuff. It does the 3 beeps in a row about every minute. I talented to it and in 2 menus set it to 99% and saved. But it still does the 3 beeps. I am verifying the backup now. Says will take 2 hours. I guess I have to reboot NASLite-2-HDD?

The 2 menus I set it in are:

Code:
3 - Storage Configuration

Then:

Code:
0 - Disk-0, IDE-0-0-0-0

and

Code:
G - General Storage Option Menu

Both to 99% now. The HTTP page on the drive says it's "USED 96% (95%)" I pressed F5 to refresh but that did not change the 95%.

I even set the
Code:
2 - Services Configuration
to
Code:
8 - Status Update [ 4h ]  (01, 05, 10, 15, 30, 45, 1h, 4h, 8h, --)
and saved but it's still beeping.

Is there some other menu have to set it to 99% in or do I have to reboot?

I would imagine that you will need to reboot as you already suggested (if it is the same as when the system logging interval is changed - didn't change the interval until reboot).

Yes you were right. A reboot fixed it. I had to wait till True Image said the validate backup was good and it was then I rebooted NASLite-HDD and the http page for it says
Quote:
USED 96% (99%)
and it's been more then a minute and has not beeped.

I did not see were it said in the PDF Manual that you had to reboot for the change to happen.

Any changes in the console need to be saved, then upon next boot the settings are loaded.
This is why the initial setup of a naslite server takes a number or reboots to configure.

I can see why they did it this way too. Because you can install NASlite on any PC and put the hard drive in some other PC and it works. It configs it's self on boot up.

That's why it works so good in a Netgear ND508 or ND520.
