NASLite includes a generic IDE driver that is a catch-all for IDE chipsets not supported by the included low-level drivers. If you have a chipset that is supported by the generic driver only, then the drives will be accessible and things will work, however without the benefit of DMA. Lack of DMA results in slow disk access, which in tern results in the saw-tooth transfer graphs people see with the original NASLite-SMB floppy disk rversion.
