Howdy, on a normal workgroup computer I can do a net use x: \\server\Disk-0 and it will mount the drive just fine. I have also made this a small batch file and then gone into Windows XP and made it a scheduled task at startup so it should be available all the time.
The problem is my wife and I's laptops. They are not workgroup computer but belong to our respective work related domains.
If I try to do the net use on either of those domain laptops this is the error I receive:
C:\Documents and Settings\ma10936>net use t: \\nasbox\Disk-0 The password is invalid for \\nasbox\Disk-0.
To connect nasbox\Guest to nasbox, press ENTER, or type a new user name: Note: nasbox is the name of the NASLite machine
If I try to map it from Windows Explorer basically the same thing.
Any ideas?????
Before I submited this I actually got it work. I did the following:
net use t: \\nasbox\Disk-0 /user:domain\username
and it worked just fine. I was thinking it would prompt me for the password but it was not required.
