Sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find any entries on this. Will NASLite-2 work OK on a system with a VIA C7 processor? This looks like one could make a low power appliance out of one of these at a really cheap price if you have other parts laying around. Anyone using one of these successfully?

Thanks,
Ken

If it's an x86 compatible (and en.wikipedia.org says it is) then it should work no problem at all - caveat, try grabbing a knoppix CD and getting it to boot off CD to test that the motherboard is recognised. Looking at the installation guide, which mentions a Pentium 200MHz working ok, I would say go for it!

I do not have a c7 but have been running VIA 1GIGAPRO VIA C3 1GigaPro CPU. Socket 370 600MHz CPU. I have two 500gb and one 320gb drives, trendnet 100/10 network card, 512mb of ram.
I store of all my mpegs, iso's and music. I have streamed two separate videos at the same time while copy data to it. The videos never skipped. Runs really cool also.
