I am consolidating an existing NasLite2-HDD boxserver into a new box. I have already loaded the new box with two hard drives (500GB & 300GBB) and configured NAslite2-HDD. At this point everything is working fine. (Monitor comes on, and NasLite-2 HDD loads)
My problem is when I hook up the third hard drive ( let alone the fourth), from my former system to this new box, the system fans come on but the system won't boot up. I originally had a 300 watt power supply in this new box and have since replaced it with a new Ultra V-600 watt supply, hoping to correct the problem. Still won't boot up. What am I doing wrong?
Need a newer motherboard or power supply?
Thanks in advance for your help!

System: ABit VT7, 1GB, P2.4, IDE Drives 500GB, 300GB, 300GB, 300GB, PCI Graphics card

Welcome to the forum! :) Please try not to cross-post as it tends to undermine the structure of the forums:

As for your problem.. I'd check the cabling and make sure they are properly strapped (master/slave).
