NASLite Network Attached Storage

I Currently have two NAsLite CDD boxes with 2 drives in each. I am in the process of building another box to house a total of four. I want to move two of the existing drives from one of the existing NASLite servers to this new server. Can this be done? If so how? Thanks for your response.

Since they sound like stand alone drives connected to a typical controller... you should be able to simply plug them into the new box. if you care about the order .. Disk-0 Disk-1 then you have to change the primary, secondary, Master, slave, controller that the drives are connected to/as.

I've noticed that some controllers read the drive parameters differently or wrong, so if a drive comes it as failed, or acts weird, it's getting mis-setup by the controller bios. You're better off trying a different controller like a PCI card for it. (i.e. don't repair).

Assuming (dangerous, I know) that the drives are not in any kind of Hardware RAID configuration, it should simply be a matter of initial installation and configuration of the new NASLite CDD then power down, install new drives, reboot, set new drives to RW and reboot.
