Hi,

Not a NL problem but any help will be appreciated.

I get the error (see image below) when I try to run the shutdown script. I know that the script is not the culprit as it runs OK on my son's computer.

FYI, it says in French that "The Automation class called "WScript.Shell" cannot be found."

TIA for your ideas and help.

Robby

I'll take a guess ... your 8th line in your VBS script invokes a line similar to this: Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell"), and it is the first time in the VBS script that "CreateObject" is being called with that parameter.

Sounds like WSCRIPT is not installed on your PC. In a Command Shell (Start-Run-CMD.EXE) try typing "wscript /?" and see what happens. If properly installed a window pops up with usage help.

I forgot how to install the wscript facility ... you'll need to search the web ...

Hi Georg & SuperBoss

It seems that Wscript IS installed as I get the help window... Maybe something is a miss in the reg. I'll try to reinstall it.

.../...

I D/Led and reinstalled WScript and everything is back to normal and Georg' scripts are working once more.

Tnx for your help :)
