NASLite Network Attached Storage

Hi all

I have been using Naslite+ for sometime now and have had no problems whatsoever. I have a wireless network that I use primarily to stream divx located on the NAS upstairs to my Xbox downstairs like this:

Netgear wireless router --> Linksys wrt54g (as a bridge) --> Xbox (XBMC)
(802.11g)

When I upgraded from Naslite on the floppy disk to Naslite+, I noticed a significant increase in performance as a result of the new software ie. streaming was definitely less choppy.

Could I expect a similar increase in performance were I to upgrade to Naslite-2? I know there are many factors involved I am just a little unsure whether it is worth my while to upgrade. Sure there seems to be lots of new features but I'm not exactly an advanced user, and I'm only concerned with network performance.

If you are happy with NASLite+, then upgrading to NASLite-2 is probably not necessary. NASLite-2 does provide better performance, but unless you need specific features implemented in v2, Naslite+ should continue to serve you well.
