I've got two Linux boxes that I want to get setup with rsync.
[I've never used rsync before, so while I've been using Linux for several years, I'm a total noob when it comes to rsync]

I'd like to have it such that the NL shared drive is setup at the top like:
user1/MyDocs
user1/MyMusic
user1/other

user2/MyDocs
user2/MyMusic
user2/other

From the top most part (the root level), it would only be showing:
user1
user2

So, I've run into a couple questions. It seems like all the tutorials and such that I find while Googling, they all seem to be using a setup where they're sync'ing directories on the same hard drive.

I'm thinking that I need to somehow 'mount' the shared drive on the NL server so that I can even specify it as a Destination. How is this done?

And, how do I set things up so that I have two different root level directories on the NL drive, like I've specified above? Do I need to create these directories MANUALLY, first?

I am certainly interested in this too

Any pointers to FAQs etc?

It would be a very useful automated backup
