I think I might have an IRQ conflict between the onboard USB ports and the SATA ports. My PC is hanging up at bootup. Naslite does not boot up at all. It had been running fine for weeks. I recently restarted the PC and now nothing happens. From the IRQ assignments at bootup I can see that the USB and SATA ports are sharing the same IRQ. Would this cause my problem? Is there anything I can do to resolve this conflict?

In the BIOS, disable all that's not needed and turn PnP off to allow the board to reallocate IRQs.

I have disabled everything in BIOS except for USB and SATA. I do not see an option in my BIOS to turn off PnP. There is a PnP/PCI menu, but it only gives the option to assign certain IRQs or set to AUTO. I have played around with it, but still no luck.

Try disabling USB2 in the BIOS.

Ok, I figured out the problem. I have been using a KVM switch to share a USB motherboard between my Naslite PC and another computer. I removed the KVM USB input from my Naslite PC and now it boots fine. Funny thing is that if I plug it back in after Naslite is up and running I am able to use the USB keyboard within Naslite fine.

Well,

The BIOS provides only rudimentary USB support for purpose of booting. Omitting the KVM component is a good example of what not to do when asking for help on the forum. That would have been the first thing I point out. :)

Glad you are up and running...

Yeah, I've had some boards fail to boot from USB with USB keyboard present. I know it sounds goofy but it does happen. I guess some BIOS can be pretty esoteric. I need to remember and add that to my checklist. :)
