 Post subject: Mapping an AFP share...

Is there a special way I should be mapping the AFP share...I cannot seem to get it working...

I am using:

afp://<server ip>/<share>

That does not work but it works with NFS...I do have AFP enabled. Thanks for any help in advance!

I got mine going with just:

Finder -> Go -> Connect to Server

then entering:

afp://<server_ip>

and then selecting the drive I wanted from the drop down.

Maybe silly questions, but:

Are you sure you have the AFP service on (check server status web page)? Did you reboot? Did you forget to save the config and reboot? Are you sure the IP is correct?

This is odd...I can connect via HTTP/FTP on my mac just fine...and on one of my Windows boxes...

Not working via NFS or AFP...yes, both of these services are enabled...config has been saved...server has been rebooted. I have the correct IP otherwise I wouldn't be able to connect via HTTP and FTP...

Open a finder window, click on the icon named Network, bonjour will advertise all available shares, provided you have AFP turned on.

Click, hit connect and your set.
