firstly an apology as i know this has been covered before - i read a thread the other night but cannot find it again

i wand to move a lot of stuff around on the drives i have in Naslite -via windows its slow

i have tried booting the Naslite box with a linux cd and had a play - can do what i want but when i go back into windows i can access the moved files but cannot delete them if i want to - this on the reconfigured Nas box

read somewhere its about permissions that need to be set whilse in Linux - but as i said cannot find the post again

any help appreciated
