Hi,

I get this message in SysLog

ACPI disabled because your bios is from 2000 and too old
You can enable it with acpi=force
:?:

Where can I put "acpi=force" in order to test if I can close down the computer with the on/off button?

Regards

When there is a will, there is a way. :)

Naslite uses syslinux to boot so you can pass that option by editing the APPEND directive in the syslinux.cfg file.

Code:
APPEND rw root=/dev/ram0 initrd=NASLite.02 quiet acpi=force

Hi Dimension,

I have edited the file with Notepas in Windows and booted NL. Here is the syslog concerning the ACPI

# Jun 23 10:57:06 user.warn kernel: BIOS-e820: 0000000017ff0000 - 0000000017ff3000 (ACPI NVS)
# Jun 23 10:57:06 user.warn kernel: BIOS-e820: 0000000017ff3000 - 0000000018000000 (ACPI data)

# Jun 23 10:57:06 user.notice kernel: ACPI disabled because your bios is from 2000 and too old
# Jun 23 10:57:06 user.notice kernel: You can enable it with acpi=force

# Jun 23 10:57:06 user.info kernel: ACPI: Subsystem revision 20040326
# Jun 23 10:57:06 user.info kernel: ACPI: Interpreter disabled.

Does that mean that the modification was done correctly?

Thanks in advance
