Hi:

I'm hoping this is something simple that I've missed...

I've tried putting NASLite on the USB drive both as a SuperFloppy and as a Partition but both with the same results.

I'm using the iomega kicker which finds the usb drive and mounts it:

Starting Caldera Dr-DOS...
ID1 = JetFlash...
Install successfully

[scrolls very quickly]
No Adapter present (a few times)

1 SCSI drive handled by ASPIDISK
1 Logical drive(s) installed

Kernel command line:
root=/dev/ram0 rw

... and then re-boots, over and over...

Am I missing something?

I've tried another USB stick and we get to the same spot then
"Read error
High mem corrupted - not exiting to DOS'

is displayed.

Any ideas?

How much RAM?

After reading some of the other posts that mention this issue I've started swapping my ram modules around.

Initially I thought I had 384, but I think one of the modules was failing: I'd started with 2x128 + 1x256 (I know it doesn't add up... but Windows was working OK: is that normal?)

The computer wouldn't even get into boot mode with just the 256 module in it: so it's definitely gone.

But I've now tried with each of the other two 128's both individually and together, without much luck.

I've now got Memtest86+ chugging througth one of the modules: it's been going now for nearly 4.5 hours over 10 passes without an error. How long is it meant to go??

From reading the other posts, am I right in saying that 96M of memory is about the minimum and that 128 should be plenty?

Also: is this definitely a memory thing? Not a USB Stick thing? Or what other type of thing could it be? (I was thinking that the CD version may work, but if it's the same programme it shouldn't make a difference??)

Thanks
