Been running NASLite-2 USB for about a year now with no problems. When recently checking the Server Status I noticed that some of the pages were not displaying. Checking the status directory I find that the HTML code in everything EXCEPT "about.htm", "server.htm" and "unlock.htm" is missing. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help!

The only reason I can think of is a full RAMDisk. Take a look at the Disk Status page and note the % Free of the SYSTEM drive. If it's close to full then take a look at your syslog for errors or excessive log entries. Take a note of any problems and troubleshoot as necessary.

Reboot and things should be back to normal.

Thanks for the reply Tony. The disk access page was not able to display so could not check that BUT re-booting did fix the problem.

Thanks again!

I have the exact same problem. Unfortunately the space seems to be eaten up with something that isn't showing in the syslog.htm file.

I looked at my entire htm directory under the Status directory and it is a total of 61k. The img directory is 24k and the index page is 3k.

That leaves a lot of space on the ramdisk that has disappeared. Each of the storage pages are only 4k and have only basic header information in them. no data.

This all started with Naslite 2. I thought it was SMART on one of the new drives I had, but no error messages appear in the syslog.htm file, and it is only 9k.

So, the only solution is to periodically reboot (much more frequently than I ever had to) or just work blind.

Saturation of the RAMDisk with process data is not normal. What version of NASLite-2 are you running? Also, are there any errors logged in the syslog as the buildup occurs?

Under heavy SMB/CIFS usage, the V2.02 RAMDisk may become saturated due to event logging and monitoring of the samba service. That condition was corrected in later versions and should no longer be a problem.

Thanks. I've got a later version laying around here, but haven't installed it yet. I'll give it a shot.

I installed 2.04 about 3 or 4 days ago and all seems well. Looks like that resolved the issue with the disappearing status pages -- for me.
