I noticed that upgrading to 2.05 from 2.04 would cost a few bucks, but I could have sworn that going from 2.03 to 2.04 was a free upgrade. Is it because it was too long ago?

Also, if I upgrade to 2.05, can I still use my 1.5 and 2.04 discs on different systems, or are they expired and unable to activate?

Is the interface different compared to 2.04, or was it just code cleanup?

If you are over your 6 monts, then you'll have to pay and revalidate the download link. All that does is allow you to download product upgrades for another 6 months against your original license.
