Hi I have just setup naslite2 with 3 hard drives but I am unable to access the shares on my pc which has vista installed. I am trying to map a network drive and then type this

\\nasserver\disk-0

but it doesn't reconise it ??

I have also tried to map a drive on osx and this time it prompts for a username & password but it wont accept my admin one

smb://naserver/disk-0

Any help to try and use naslite 2 before ditching will be greatly appreacited it

Cheers

Its case sensitive, ie: \\nasliteservername\Disk-0 (not disk-0)

As far as OsX there are steps you need to take to fix this. Do a search on this forum for the answer. It worked well for me but I cannot remember how to do it.

cheers for that but just wondered why it would accept my username & passwords when it can see the share in osx, within windows it doesn't even see the share but can try what you suggested

Many Thanks

Dave

Make sure the NAS and your PCs ar ein the same workgroup. The NAS does not have a password for connection and the problem is that OsX expects a password.
