In the Naslite-2 manual they talk about Naslite-2 HDD, yet there isn't a separate price for purchasing it. Is this included in the Naslite-2 CDD or have I missed something ?

Will it ever be released? Is it really a product 1 year+ in the making?

HDD is still in our immediate queue, but for some unfortunate reason keeps getting passed in favor of improving the core. As it stands, we are not completely satisfied with the HDD installer, although it is close. I'm not going to make any promises, obviously I've broken them before Embarassed but we'll make an effort to get it back on track.

When it comes out I love to install it on a Intel InBusiness Storage Station on a newer type large hard drive. The Storage Station has just power and Ethernet. Can hook a RS-232 to it all so if you open it.

I hope how ever they have you put NASLite-2 HDD on a hard drive that you can put the hard drive in any system to boot.

I did this with a Netgear ND508 that came with a 8 GB hard drive. I have a 320 GB in it now. The only Linux I could find that would boot in it was Trustix. The Netgear ND508 has just power and Ethernet to it too. I installed Trustix on a PC with the same type chip set. Same type chip set on the Ethernet and a cheep video card. It booted in the Netgear ND508 then. I did the same for the Storage Station but it will not boot. Have to use it's way out dated Linux that came with it.

It would be so grate to use NASLite-2 HDD in it. Been waiting a long time. I hope it's getting close.

Ralph and I are in agreement that other than emergency fixes for 2.06 we are not to touch anything other than NASLite-2 HDD. The plan is to release NASLite-2 HDD v2.06 next, once it is complete.

I guess that's a lesson to me not to mention pending developments in the manual. :)
